Hello, I am Amelia
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. I'm an expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't part of the long-range plan. Like many relocation stories, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — new processes, new rhythms, new expectations. Everyday chores felt tougher than they ought to be.
The Adaptation Phase
Culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines formed. We found places that worked for us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
What Motivated Me to Launch FaleonXiloCaviel
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance based on real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Does (And Doesn't)
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever there is a meaningful change
This site is not:
- A tourism authority resource
- Sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in United Kingdom continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Amelia
